Our Team


We have a team on 50 staff including Registered Nurses and Carers 


  • We have a team of 10 qualified Registered Nurses.
  • 97% of our care staff are working towards or have completed NVQ2 with many taking on NVQ3.
  • All staff receive varied, ongoing and intensive training.
  • Regular staff appraisals and supervisions take place.




We have a team of dedicated nurses who are familiar with our residents, which allows them to provide the best care they possibly can. With a varied skill set our nurses are able to achieve a high level of care.


There is a trained nurse on duty 24 hours a day. Nurses are leaders of their shifts and oversee the care team to ensure high quality care delivery is maintained. Nurses are responsible for care-planning and risk assessments. They write and organise quality person-centred individual care plans which encompass every individuals needs pertaining to activities of living, that encourages independence and autonomy. The nurses' varied experience and clinical skill base allow for a diverse and well-trained team.


Our carers are trained to a high level with the majority of them having obtained at least NVQ 2. Our teams of qualified and dedicated staff really focus on the individual needs of the residents. They are committed to providing professional and respectful care and maintaining Nettleton Manors exceptional standards.

We employ dedicated, well trained staff, to provide 24-hour care in a professional and respectful way. Each resident has their own regularly updated care plan and dedicated key worker who can provide non clinical feedback on a service user's wellbeing. 


Our head chef is dedicated to offering nutritional, well balanced diets to service users and works to come up with new meal ideas to keep menus fresh and enticing. Service users have a variety of dietary requirements which are catered for.

As well as our chefs we have a pantry team who assist at meal times and provide a morning tea service to the residents.

Our Head Chef, is responsible for, and takes pride in offering a balanced, nutritious diet. The team use fresh, quality ingredients, to meet all our residents' preferences including any specific dietary requirements.

The Head Chef meets with the individuals on admission to identify individual preferences and also holds residents meetings on a regular basis to ensure the menus cover the types of food that residents like. Every individual is offered a hearty breakfast, mid-morning snack, lunch, afternoon tea and an evening meal.


Everybody enjoys different activities and, wherever possible, we encourage each service user to continue to do the kind of things they did before moving. We recognise that this doesn't necessarily mean taking part in a group activity, because whilst some would enjoy this, there are lots of other types of activity which form part of everyday living.

On admission the activities staff talk to service users and their family to understand about their hobbies and interests and any new interests they might like to try. Relatives are welcome to join in with activities and we strongly encourage family and friends to take part in social events. Click here to see a sample of our activities.

House Keeping

This team of staff works tirelessly in keeping all areas of Nettleton Manor clean, tidy, as well as laundry management and meeting infection control standards. They form a vital part of our team and befriend the service users in helping them, if they wish and are able, to participate in cleaning and arranging their individual rooms.


This one man team works tirelessly in keeping all areas of Nettleton Manor well maintained; meeting health and safety standards, good practice guidance and legislation. Nothing is too much trouble, from assisting a resident with a fax machine, tuning in the TV or helping them to decide where pictures should be placed and securing them to the wall.


This team of staff is responsible for managing reception, delivering post, newspapers as well as the behind the scenes administrative paperwork required in ensuring the smooth operation of the care home such as invoicing etc...
